 «Desk It Up»
«Desk It Up» is going to be an educational project involving young people at the age of 18-30 from 3 countries (Greece, Italy and Germany). The project will be taking place in Nicosia from May 6th to 2019 to November 5th 2019. The project «Desk It Up» is part of the Volunteering Activities under European Solidarity Corps, Round 1. This project wishes to build up experiences for the young participants and aims on enhancing the abilities of young people to interact and to offer their voluntary time to the local young people and communities, in Cyprus, while achieving and meeting everyday challenges at an office environment. At the same time, this project will develop their organizational and communication skills and motivate the local young people to become a part of the mobility projects that European Solidarity Corps has to offer. The long-term aim of this project, lies in accordance to the Mission and Vision of the European Solidarity Corps, which is to promote solidarity and volunteerism as a value. In addition, through this project, we wish to: – to increase young people’s resilience through the practical experience of volunteering abroad; – encourage the learning of another language; – develop the ability of interaction with people of different language and culture; -provide the possibilities of networking, which will build on their future endeavors. The content of volunteer activities, over the period of 6 months, are within the context of an educational project that focuses on an important objective of the European Union which is to foster solidarity and tolerance among young people, and to promote social cohesion in the European Union. Profile of the participants: We are looking for creative, multitasking young people who love youth work and volunteerism. Group age: 18 – 30 Number of participants: 1 volunteer from Germany, 1 volunteer form Greece Place: Nicosia, Cyprus Dates and duration: 6 months, from May 6th to 2019 to November 5th 2019. Financials: Accommodation is provided. A monthly allowance of 270 euros will be given to the volunteers. Travel cost: We will cover the travel cost according to the Erasmus+ financial guides.
